My name is Tracy Terhune and I authored the book Valentino Forever which was published in 2004. Valentino Forever is a record of the history of the Valentino Memorial Service which has been held annually since 1927.  I have served on the Valentino Memorial committee since 2001, and have attended the services each year since 1996.

After my first book came out it made sense to re-publish Roger C. Peterson’s hard to find 1937 book Valentino: The Unforgotten in its entirety.  Peterson’s book told wonderful and colorful stories of early visitors to the grave of Rudolph Valentino. That book was released in 2007.
One of my favorite hobbies is going to places where Hollywood history (no matter how minor) occurred.  With the Rudy Tour on this site, you can visit locations that had a direct connection to Rudolph Valentino.

To the right are three photos of myself - the top one taken at the Valentino Memorial August 23, 2009.  The other two are from various visits to Valentino's home Falcon Lair.  I had the opportunity to go inside the home on a half dozen occasions.  Sadly Falcon Lair is now torn down.  I also was excited to be able to go into the quaint Sunset Blvd bungalow that Rudy and Natacha shared.  Unfortunately it too has been demolished.

Being passionate about preserving Hollywood history, I am a docent at the Hollywood Heritage Museum.  Stella Grace and I put a permanent exhibit on Valentino up at the museum.  I am very proud of that.  We paid for the case out of our own pockets as well as putting material from our own collections in there.

I was also co-producer of the "Valentino Collection" DVD double disc set.  I have a lot of friends around town that have their own favorite stars, but I am always trying to find ways to champion Rudy at every opportunity.  All my books sold at the Museum are donated 100% by me, and the ones sold at the Cemetery are provided at my cost only. NO markup.  I am not trying to make money on Valentino, I am only trying to get the information out there, and by my not taking any cut it lowers the cost to the person buying it.

My biggest Valentino passion is the Valentino Memorial.  I love traditions, and I am pleased and honored to be a part of helping to keep this long standing Hollywood tradition going.
